While SDSU's ranking may be too high, the school has actually become
A LOT more competitive. It is still deep in the academic shadow of UCSD, but SDSU has made great progress towards transitioning from an oversized community college to a legit university, albeit not an elite research university, but a school whose reputation has taken great leaps forward.
