We still fly satellites that use some ancient code--and there's no way to upgrade them
Our oldest DSCS satellite (Defense Satellite Communications System) rolled off the assembly line before many (most?) of you were born and my friends at Schriever AFB still talk to it every day. Its processors use the same code that was new when it was designed in the 1970s.

Fortran is still used in a bunch of legacy scientific and defense codes. Slowly getting replaced and updated.
