Saw this as a comment to a reaction to this song and given the circumstances today I thought it was apropos

Tommy Shaw was writing about the dignity of work. The dignity of making your own way. The dignity of taking care of your family- even when the work sucks.
So tomorrow I'll get up at 3:30, walk the dog, clock in by 5:00, put in 9 hours before a three day weekend, wearing a knee brace and a COVID-19 mask in the worst Michigan heatwave in years. Dignity man. Taking care of the family.)
