He gave the trilogy a solid start, then Johnson threw it all out the window. Then, Colin Trevorrow gets fired and they bring in JJ to try and salvage everything at the last minute. Episode 9 felt like they crammed his vision of episodes 8 and 9 into one movie. While it still wouldn't have been great, it would have been much better than what we got.
