RE: This fiction was repeated during testimony meeting this morning. Oops.
I believe you may be incorrect buddy. It had been raining for days there, thus the reason for the haze, so it was a storm/bad weather flag (17 by 25 ft) that was possibly flying on an auxillary/secondary pole. But even it was on full size pole it is possible for 2 men to hold it upright as long as it's kept balanced (I had to do it while setting a 60' stainless steel pole). They teach this story at all the Acadamies and SMC's as well as boot camp during our military history course. Any questions I'll do my best to answer or responses are welcome I'm not a millenial so I won't be offended as I bought into Thomas Paine's saying......“He who dares not offend cannot be honest.”

PS. I was performing a search about the War of 1812 (earlier) and for info on my high school, Cougars also, and Google just happened to bring your statement up as a result. I never attended BYU, or any college for that matter unless you include Naval Nuke Shool a college like Time/Life when ranking schools for post HS study. But I'm certainly no dumby, according to both IQ tests taken, one at 10 in 1982 and the other administered to some Naval Nuclear Propulsion School students in 1990, they could only estimate my score. They say it was estimated (I say they just guessed LoL) to be in the top 1e(-13)%. I trust since this is a college board I don't have to give a mathematics lesson to explain what that means. Even so, at 50 (even being licensed as Reactor Operator by the NRC, Licensed Federal Class A General Contractor, ASE certified Parts Pro and Master Technician and Automotive Electrical/Electronics Tech, started coding in 1982 (on a $12K, green dot matrix all in one with a 5" floppy (Basic, FORTRAN 1988, Pascal 1989; YEAH I'M OLD!!! LMAO), speak 4 languages and having already passed the State Bar and after 6 more months of my 7yr internship, I will be Licensed to practice Law (VA is one of 3 states not requiring Law or any schooling to practice) my brain ain't what it used to be, LoL!! That said please believe me when I say I'm not trying to be or seem an arrogant, concieted, egostistical, narcissitic, blow-hard braggart, just wanted to make sure you knew I'm not stupid just because I didn't attend university. Plus wanted to TELL everyone, out there and on here, that had to drop out of school for whatever reason, IT'S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD and no matter your situation you can be as successful and educated as you want to be!!!!

Sorry for ruining your board,
