Perfect complement to Fouss and Atiki…
…with both of those two players right now in their careers being back-to-the-basket low post players Waterman gives us the perfect stretch 4 to play alongside either Fouss or Atiki playing the 5. Waterman is an elite 3pt shooter and has hit 44% from 3 in college and would have potentially 3 yrs of eligibility and could help BYU transition into the Big12.

Here’s a highlight video of Detroit Mercy’s win vs UW-Milwaukee back in January. Antoine Davis was kind of Steph Curry-ish in this game hitting big shot after big shot but Waterman was a great floor spacer playing catch and shoot from 3.

With our last 2 scholarships I’d love to see Pope sign Waterman and Felipe Haase (from Mercer). Both bigs are flexible in where they can play (Haase is a 4/5 and Waterman can flex between a 3/4/5) and both players have good face the basket abilities and are good on the perimeter.
