Unfortunately this is not the first time she's had a suicidal roommate. One of her roommates made an attempt her first semester at BYU. That girl had apparently been abused by a relative before she arrived at school. These things have triggered anxieties in my daughter and have definitely affected her life and decision-making abilities in the years since.
