If you wait until you have uneven wear to figure out that you need the
adjustable control arms, it's too late. If they are recommending adjustable control arms, it's because they can't get your car aligned within specs which will lead to premature wear.
This is what was recommended for our car and I didn't do it even though two different shops made the same recommendation. Now I have two tires that need premature replacement.
They told me they didn't NEED to be done right then, but should be done eventually to prevent premature tire wear.

I shredded my tire this morning. Took it into Discount Tire, in Orem, replaced tire because it was under warranty.
