I don't care how they do it, but they need major improvements in 3rd and 4th down stops. I don't care if that means they blitz or get pressure or sack the QB 100 times per game or zero times per game. None of that matters if the defense can't get off the field.

If you look at FBS statistics, the defense is objectively below average or downright awful at stopping opponent's drives. You can talk about how injuries, recruitment, development, etc. have contributed to that, but ultimately the results going back pretty much to the beginning of Sitake's/Tuiaki's tenure show that their teams have consistently struggled in this area.
