Covid provided a lot of extra unemployment benefits. If you're a single mom.. your two kids can't go to school.. and you
get enhanced unemployment, medicaid, food stamps, Biden bucks etc... then the math is REALLY compelling to stay home and be with your kids.
The alternative was to work, pay a nanny, and miss the time with your kids. Right?
It seems probable to me that her analysis skills are pretty sharp.
