It's surprising how many of these stories baseball produces vs other pro sports
Especially at pitcher which is such a strenuous position.
You never hear of the 30 yr old RB walking away and then getting a second chance after getting a shot in the CFL or even the USFL. How many guys you think make a roster on an NFL team next year from that league? Likely less than 5. Probably none.
You don't ever hear about it in NHL or NBA and they have farm leagues like baseball.
