For those who have had TMJ pain before…

I just randomly woke up with the right side TMJ really sore about 3 days ago. Hurts when I chew too. I almost never chew gum, just for context.

Has anyone had it dissipate on its own or do you pretty much need to schedule a visit with a practitioner?

Mine corrected on its own but my dentist recommended a mouth guard
