This isn't sustainable, right?
I mean... This is insane. Multi-million dollar NIL deals being signed by 17/18 year old kids who haven't played a single down of college football? This isn't good for college football. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for kids getting what they deserve. They're bringing MILLIONS of revenue to these universities, and I do believe they deserve something beyond a scholarship and cost of living expenses, but these NIL deals are getting insane.

Even a school like the University of Miami, which has a MASSIVE athletic revenue, is operating on thin margins. The U brought in $127,170,251 last year, but their operating expenses were $127,135,143. That means they only turned a profit of $35,000. I get that these NIL deals are coming from boosters, but do we really want rich fans to have that much influence over the direction of college football? Seems like a HUGE conflict of interest to me. I can't imagine this is allowed to go on as currently constituted for that much longer.
