I've thought the best method is at the pregame plate conference to give a ballot to the opposing coach of your top 3 kid

And then you rank them after the game a 3, 2, or 1. Most points at the end of the season makes the all-star team. There is also a write in ballot spot. Seems simple. Opposing coaches vote for the all-star team.

Agreed, the bylaws should address these things. Commissioner/President can’t coach all stars unless no other candidates.

This totally happens all the time when using a paper book. Happened to AF 2 years ago. They won the state championship

The most common place the paper book messes it up is a ball batted in play. They forget to count that pitch.

That works if you play in an unaffiliated league. Might as well have a bunch of all star teams.
