Having a great rival on equal footing is great for fans as well as BYU’s competitive future. Sharing a better kingdom is better than ruling a smaller one. The State of Utah has great college football with a fabulous history, a population that disproportionately represents itself in high level football accolades and accomplishments and culturally Utah still appreciates and wants great football- do not underestimate how important that is. If BYU & Utah both end up together, especially in a more competitive conference with more equitable resources, they will continue to blossom on the national scene. Never as blue-bloods but very competitive next tier programs.
