what the rationale would be to say that, as of right now, "the PAC has a better chance of survival than the Big 12". The PAC just lost two of their biggest brands and more are trying to follow. I have seen zero reports about Big 12 schools trying to join the PAC, and given how shaky things are there right now, I would be shocked if any are pushing for it right now. Are they holding it in there back pockets in case things change? Sure. And that's the risk. Things can look completely different within a week or so. But as of right now, the PAC is not in a position of power.
