I think it will end up biting them when they realize they needed that 60-70% of
the country to watch the games.
Sure, Texas has a huge fanbase, but how many eyeballs watch Texas games merely because they love college football and hate Texas? Those fans will eventually stop watching when their own teams are no longer part of the party, and then the overall value of college football won’t be what these networks are about to pay for it.
