When I was a kid we’d get Roman candles, the ones that shoot small little fire balls, and have wars holding them (to be clear, holding them is a big no for safety reasons) and shooting at each other like it was laser tag. We’d wear sunglasses to, you know, be safe.
One year one guy’s exploded in his hand. He was mostly okay but had little holes in his shirt from where some balls exploded out the side of the tube.
That happened a few more times with Roman candles out of the same package. I remember a bunch of hair on one arm being melted and curled up from when one exploded on me and holes in my shirt.
Yes, we still used the used the whole package.
