I've heard the same regarding Shimano (shift under load...). It seems that
Shimano come in a little heavier. I've also heard that SRAM seem to be more durable.

I owned a Ripmo for a short time (it got stolen last week :(). I really liked it. Fun bike. Bomber downhill. But it is a a little more slack and may lean more towards an Enduro (that also happens to climb really well...). I demoed a Switchblade over the weekend. Seems like a solid all mountain bike. Maybe climbs a little better, but wish it was more slack.

Seriously having the hardest time knowing which way to go.
