If they are negotiating with the Big12 (showing vulnerability) and issuing a
Statement of Pac 12 solidarity ( showing a position of power) who exactly are they trying to get leverage over. The Bog 12 already knows they are in a position of weakness.

In other words, We are committed to our current contract but that doesn't mean we aren't exploring all options.

But it looks like if teams leave the pac-12 for the Big 12, the new Big 12 or get each team more money
