My wife gave me a BYU license plate frame. I didn't put it on my car for
a few years because of the same concern.
As an aside, I never used the middle finger until about 20 years ago I was driving with three of my brothers-in-law (one was my wife's brother, the other two were married to my wife's sisters). Someone cut me off and I hit the horn, and then looked over to see all three of them with their middle fingers extended toward the offender. There had been no discussion, it was pure reflex.
I felt left out 😉
