Plus, the Gophers are actually pretty solid in football--they're holding their own against Wisconsin and dominating Nebraska (6-3 in the last 9). Their basketball, volleyball, and ice hockey--important B1G sports--are decent (basketball) to elite (volleyball and hockey) and draw lots of fans. Plus they're a charter member of the Big 10--all the way back to 1896. No way they're taking a pay cut.
