I'm in the middle. I think it's a fine character and, frankly (pun intended),
Sort of a more realistic take on how someone may snap after a trauma.

I also don't think the message I get from The Punisher is that "just shoot people up and everything will be fine" because he doesn't seem fine and it shows.

BUT, does he REALLY fit in the MCU? Of the Netflix Marvel shows, he fits in the absolute worse in regards to tone of the MCU. I just can't imagine him (at least the most recent version) in one of the MCU movies.
