Great reminder, leave no regrets! My Dad gone 26 years, my Mom for 12. She was usually very upbeat whenever I called
except this one time ( she was 95 and in pretty good shape). Asked her how she was doing as usual but she surprised me and said "not too good" . I asked if health related and she said she felt fine but was hesitant to tell me why she was down, "you'll think I'm a crazy old woman", she said.

Naturally, I gently pressed for the reason and she said: "I had a dream last night that your Dad came to visit me. He said he was getting really lonely and asked if I'd understand if he 'started to see other women'". He'd been gone 14 years at this time. She was genuinely upset, and I had to stifle a laugh, and said I knew Dad, and he was very patient, that she had nothing to worry about. It was less than two months later that she was gone to reunite with him.
