Several of you helped my with ideas and suggestions, so I am posting the results here. Thank you for those that helped.

It only took 9 months! It’s probably 98% done….We didn’t do everything we wanted, but we had to stop spending money at some point, haha.

I think it turned out pretty great. I hired pros to do the shiplap, speakers and built in cabinets.

I had the cabinet custom built for tons of storage for blankets, movie popcorn and treats, and the mini fridge.

This is the setup I ended up with:

LG 810 laser projector. We needed one with vivid picture, This room has two huge windows and lots of natural light…we did add blackout shades though that work very well.

Elura ceiling mounted speakers and subwoofer

Yamaha RX-V6A receiver

All connected through amazon fire cube for voice control

I also had Internet hardwired into the room so no buffering…
