My company and my wife's incentivize the HDHP options by matching contributions to

our HSAs which makes the HDHP plan much more attractive along with better prescription drug benefits in the HDHP. Our OOP Max amounts are the same but the deductible for the HDHP is of course more. The matching $$$ helps offset that along with the lower premiums.

We hit our deductible my March/April each year, but I've never hit the out of pocket max (thank goodness).
