100%. After 14 years of practice, I began to refuse anything that required
nights. Lots of hospitals, in psychiatry at least, are now moving to a dedicated nightfloat staff instead of having ruthless 24 hr call schedules.

More research comes out every year about how harmful sleep deprivation is. Wouldn’t surprise me if medicine moves away from 24/36 hr calls
