A good OBP is nice but someone has to knock runners in
Same for scoring runs. It is great to get on base. But if the runner is slow and it takes three singles / walks / balls in play for that runner to score, fewer runs will be scored.
Baseball analytics, like all statistics, can be helpful but they are a starting point of analysis.
