IMO, (I speak mexicanese,wife is first gen mex American, majority of her family

is near Temecula or Uruapan, and I worked on my master’s in Spanish at BYU), the b vs v is education/class related. They sound interchangeable, but they’re not. You write “bamos” and you may be told your redneck/naco is showing. Just my opinion.

The th sound is called the theta. It’s primarily a Spain thing. It’s used when a c or z would normally make an s sound.
