A few reasons.
1. We lost our leading receiver (Neil Pau’u) and Samson Nacua. I don’t believe their replacements are as good as them and therefore the receiving group will have fewer targets.
2. With the loss of Tyler Allgeier I anticipate we run less and throw more.
3. ARod has talked about how Isaac Rex and Dallin Holker have become better blockers and Masen Wake has become a better route runner. The TEs have become more two-dimensional (vs. one-dimensional), which makes our Offense less predictable. Maybe this results in more TE targets?
