Sadly I know a few folks.
Skyler the wife is very similar to many wives I know inside and outside the church. They are unsupportive of their husband and complain constantly, but also don't do anything themselves. This is much more common across the board. As is the case of Hank's wife (Marie?) who was judging but also a secret shoplifter.

I don't know any drug dealers, but I'm surprised at how often pornography/infidelity lead to similar situations.
We had a guy in our ward who was living a double life with a completely different family.

We had two other acquaintances who were addicted to child pornography and sexually abusing their children, and in both cases the web of lies they constructed were similar though without the murder. For example, one of the men abusing his children wrote a letter alleging that the bishop who was trying to council and assist his wife was only doing it because he was having an affair with her, then copied it and dropped it off on every door in the ward (small Utah ward so that was only like 4 streets.). He ended up in jail but bankrupt his family, stole one of his kids' social security numbers ruining her credit, etc.,
