If great things happen, rejoice more! If crappy things happen be sad about them when they happen, but don’t let worry steal your excitement about what could be.

Some people try to insulate themselves from disappointment by being pessimistic. IME they are just as disappointed when we lose but also lost the joy of positive anticipation. It’s a much better season to enjoy it all, be excited, and when disappointment comes, let it go and be excited for whatever is coming next… even if it’s just getting to watch another game.

Most of all, just be happy you don’t have to wait for football much longer. Football is good.
