Well, the injury had nothing to do with being on the line.
If there's a funny part to the story, that's it.
His primary positions are corner and X receiver. It was planned to use him at safety too.
The injury happened after chasing the QB to the sideline where he was hit by a receiver who would have blocked him if he'd been at corner.
