The pace of change in our society continues to accelerate, and IMHO the ability to adapt positively and rapidly is THE key ability/strategy of our age. That is one reason the hiring of Yormark seems like a very smart move.
Sure the B1G and SEC have expanded and will apparently have good TV $. But that is not even close to being the entire picture. The crazy confluence of NIL and streaming services and other emerging factors means that each conference —and even each team— still has the opportunity to maximize their attractiveness and monetization of their product.
It will be interesting to watch the big picture emerge in the coming decade, but in the meantime I am looking forward to seeing BYU v Kansas, etc. in the Marriott Center, and the Cougars vs Oklahoma State et al at LES in the coming years. Bring it on!
