I thought Kalani had overcome his struggles against subpar G5 teams after
the impressive 2020 season and first half of 2021.
The loss to UAB and close wins over 2-10 USF and 3-9 Georgia Southern proved me wrong.
We absolutely still play to the level of our opponent. Atrocious defensive scheme from Tuiaki and virtually no talent on the DL allow G5 teams to match us in the trenches and get chunk yardage.
Until Tuiaki is gone, expect us to continue to play down to the level of subpar of G5 opponents.
