They didn't make a Final Four until just a few years ago, but performing well in the NCAA Tournament year after year put them in a position to become one of the premiere programs in CBB. It is easily conceivable that Miami, Oklahoma State, or Virginia Tech could us CFP access to elevate their programs. And it is even possible that by qualifying consistently and winning a game or two, could allow schools like UCF, SDSU, Baylor, or dare I say BYU to raise their profiles significantly in the landscape of CFB. Will they be Alabama or Ohio State? No. But what prevents them from being viewed on par with Wisconsin or Tennessee? Giving a broad group of programs the opportunity to win on that stage will do more for parity in CFB than anything we've seen since the scholarship limit was implemented.
