We were able to stifle their run game (long of 13 yards), while also preventing anything over the top in the passing game (long of 19 yards) That really may have been Tuiaki’s best game to this point.
Our offense went 3 and out over and over in the first half, and the defense bailed us out over and over. I’m almost positive grimes thought our D-line would wilt eventually and he’d be able to pound it down our throats. It never happened, and we were the ones to get the and-goal stop in OT.
Let’s hope we can do it again against a much different offense in Oregon.
