Absolutely true that towing with an EV is severely limited. I think most people know and agree. Also very true that not every truck owner tows regularly or for even moderate distances.
So why do Truck Bros. jump in to insist it's "not a truck," or insist their 2002 Dodge with a Cummins Diesel is soooo much better? Some of it seems really weird, maybe insecure.
I'd buy an electric truck. And I would be giving up most towing. And that works for me. So I don't get why your buddy was all bent about it, either.
It's a weird culture, these truck owners.
