and I end up only able to use 1.5 seats. At most. I was with my young son. I take a full seat. He had the space of about 1/3 of a seat.

I used to think it was because of people squeezing extra people in. Sometimes it is. But it’s also clear that the body width of the average person is wider than it was in 1982.

Seats for all would be great. But that would reduce capacity.

I wish I knew a good solution that didn’t involve going all the way to the end of the row to see who is taking up too much room.
