They are trying to tell too big a story
Watched epi 4.. it was kind of all over the place. They were able to tighten the story line towards the end. No sill Hartfoots thankfully.
As to Sauron is its becoming clearer. The whole Galadrial and Numenor is all over the place.
I really like Elrond and Durin. Thar has been done well. Only 4 episodes left I think.
