Yes I have. And I live in Washington and know exactly what they are. They are
different than UW, cal, Oregon, usc, Stanford, ucla.

They actually care about the team when they are down.

They didn’t love Covid protocols. Even had a coach refuse to cooperate.

They aren’t in a huge city and affected by the way people in the city think.

They are out in the hills and plains and country like several big 12 schools. They have a lot of average joes as fans. It’s not the rich preppy cocky crowd.

They are uniquely passionate about their teams.

There is less academic snobbery compared to other big west coast schools.

They’re not going to make power moves to leave conferences because they have illusions of grandeur. If they came to the big 12 they’d fit and wouldn’t act all put out.

They have their partiers and drunken idiots. They held up polygamy signs at last years game that I was at with my family that I didn’t appreciate. But they did have fans that went and told the guy the put the sign down and he did and I really appreciated that. As a byu fan I had a WSU grad offer to give me extra tix to the game and let me park in his season tix garage and really gave me a lot of great info on where to eat and what to see and do. So my interaction last year with their fans was incredible on the whole.
