He was a ball hawking difference maker. It seemed like he’d rotate out and about every third series. And then boom, you’d see the opposition complete a pass to his would-have-been area.
It stood out then and I’ve watched it ever since. Not that you really need a watchful eye to detect the hockey line changes that are characteristic of us and practically no one else.
When you go it alone in doing stuff like this, you are either way ahead of the curve OR you’re stubbornly pushing a misguided idea. I think the results we’ve had make the answer rather clear.
