As many of you remember, UCLA drives down the field to get within gimme field goal range with like 5 seconds remaining. At that point my dad is so ticked and disheartened he can’t even watch. Someone takes a timeout, and my dad goes “Alright son, let’s leave. I can’t stand to watch us lose on a last second play”

I’m borderline crying, my 8 year old self crushed that my Cougs are about to lose. Literally right as we are walking out of Sam Boyd, we hear a massive uproar from the crowd. My dad goes “Welp, that’s it. UCLA won”

Then we hear the stadium announcer…”The field blocked by BYU! #99 Eathyn Manumaleuna”

We couldn’t believe it!! Try to sprint back into the stadium but the ticket people won’t let us in since we had already exited😂 sprint to the car and back to the hotel to catch the highlights in the hotel lobby.

My dad and I agreed after that we will NEVER leave a BYU game early again. Haven’t left one early since.
