Clear won't save you time in SLC or some smaller airports but major upgrade in LAX and NYC airports
Once got to JFK running late for a flight, like it was boarding when I got out of my cab. Got to security and pre-check line had 100+ people in it. Clear had 2 people in line. Walked onto my plane as they were closing the door. That one time made it worth it. Of course AMEX card reimburses cost so really no brainer.
