FYI: "lay the points" - bet the favorite to cover. "Take the points" - the dog covers. "Take the over" - has nothign to
do a team covering the spread and is about the total combined points for both teams. You can bet team totals (eg: BYU to score at least 40) and in that you can take the over.
But the over/under never has anything to do with a spread.
