Yes, the D did adjust, and the adjustment while late in coming) was extremely effective. So the main point is, respectfully, off base.
But it is interesting to see how much better everything clicked when we could at least pretend to run the ball.
I think if we could have run even marginally effectively in the first half, that would have led to at least one more offensive score, allowed at least one fewer defensive score, and left us all talking about how USU was really never in the game. Instead, we got what we got.
Of everything that is off-kilter with the team right now, nothing cries out as needing to be addressed so much as the running game.
