I largely agree with this. It was obvious once it was won they were just running
to not put the hammer down and embarrass them.

Defense-wise I think you're basically right too, but that one is more frustrating. You can have that strategy and still in certain spots take a few more measured risks with good potential reward in certain circumstances. So it may be how the defense is designed, but it's a poor design to not at least a bit more often give yourself a better chance at drive ending negative yard plays.
