It's comments like these that show how ignorant our fan base is, even about coaches that coached here for a decade.
Bronco is widely known as one of the most loyal people in all of college football.

Can someone be loyal to his coaches and coaching staff, and still walk away from the school...yes. He did that twice.

On the hierarchy of loyalty, his coaches and players come before the school/institution. Someone would have to be blind to not understand that about him or just a massive hater.

He outlines this in his book, or the book written about him.

UVA wanted something that Bronco wasn't willing to part with. He is more loyal to his people and willingly sacrificed his position. I'm sure there were other considerations in terms of being 17 years as a HC, family, burnout, etc. But the catalyst was UVA and his loyalty to his staff.

KWhitt nearly did the same thing at Utah a number of years ago. Coaches care more about their staff than players or the institution.
