Well that’s not true. You don’t always have to beat the best to win.
The Dodgers are without a doubt the best team in baseball. If the Mets beat them, the Braves have a path to the WS (and the entire AL) without beating the best.
Nobody is getting worked up. And every format has issues. Just noting that the 2 seed may more often than not have advantages over the 1 seed without reseeding.
