I disagree with your math. If Iran draws this game they have hope to get to 4 points with a win over USA,

Obviously USA isn’t guaranteed to get points against England so a loss against Iran could have USA at 1, 2, or 4 points. Plus, Wales likely will lose to England, leaving them with 2 points if they draw this game. So if UsA doesn’t win against England, Iran could still advance.
